I tried vinyl wrapping the hairdresser mobile’s hood for the second time, but failed. It suffers from clear coat cancer. My technique is inadequate it would seem. Typhon to settle my disappointment.

It seems like an easy thing to do, but it’s something that needs practice and patience.

I was way more patient with this second attempt but yeah I don’t have the practice. I’ve gotten some other things done that I’ll share tomorrow though.

I feel your pain. I screwed up a windshield banner. Twice.

I notice you got the black aluminum door cards from CarbonMiata. I wanted soooo badly to buy those but I just couldn’t stomach the price.

They look and feel great in person, but a lot of fasteners were missing, and what was there doesn’t actually fasten the door cards to the door. I’ll have to source some different push-pin thingys somehow

I worked at a few sign shops in the summer in highschool and did a lot of work with vinyl. Even after several years of practice my boss would leave me the small stuff and do the full vehichle wraps himself. It’s tricky! I don’t think I’d attempt to do a full car myself, especially after a number of years not working with the stuff.
